Having arrived Uppsala, one of the cities in Sweden, for more than 1 week, I'm fond of living here..the people are nice and the environment's nice and beautiful. Everything's fine here. I've already got used to here at the very beginning (though I now still have maps on my hands..) 
Let me share my precious moments here. 25/08/2009 (Monday) [Flight: Hong Kong-> Frankfurt (Germany) -> Stockholm (Sweden)] not good sleeping last night..coz i hv to do my packing. I arrived in airport in the morning with mum and brother(sleepy ~o~). My big suitcase's overloaded, i hv to re-packing in the ariport..so embarrassing. After checking in, I was very very hungry!! (perhaps due to my poor sleep last night)
Then I went to Fairwood and had lunch with Mum, brother, and Simon's family. When I'm hving lunch, I suddenly found out..i forgot to bring my stationery!!! But that's not important when i then noticed i didn't bring my calculator..the conclusion is: I realized that I definitely had no plan of studying there...haha! Departure finally... 
- nice view and nice meal (though not enough for me..haha)
What did I do? movies, music, window sightseeing and ..sleeping!
The flight lasts for more than 15 hours..luckily I slept extremely well in my seat!!
(actually I can sleep everywhere XD) 
- Frankfurt airport
3 hours before departure, I just walked around here. When I wanted to buy a drink, I realized I hv no EURO in my pocket..I just got Swedish $ /.\ Finally I arrived in Arlanda airport in Stockholm. However, it's 12:00am..no bus, no train. Simon and I took taxi to Uppsala. Finally got to the dormitory (Rackarbergsgatan) where I'll stay for 1 semester. I immediately went online and noticed my family. Simon slept in my room and I unpacked my stuff for a whole night @@" For the dormitory, 5 person share 1 kitchen, 1 toilet and 1 bathroom. 
- it's my room, clean, big and comfortable..just so nice!
In the morning, Simon and I went to VG (one of the student nations) for registration. I got my temporary student ID card, registered for IKEA tour and signed up for the International Gasque (a formal dinner for international students) dated on Oct 16. 
- long long queue to sign up.. queued for almost 3 hours /.\
Then I went to BBQ in Kalmar Nation. I met some fds from Taiwan. Unfortunately, food there is so limited..then we moved to one of the fds' place (Hotel Uppsala student dormitory) to have our dinner. 
- we had roasted chicken and pasta (I didn't cook anything..)
- the pasta is so funny..
26/08/2009 (Tuesday) [BBQ + Dinner with Taiwan friends] 
- my first breakfast in Sweden!
I dunno why I have good a good appetite here..perhaps becoz of the relaxing life here :P

27/08/2009 (Thursday) IKEA trip + Information Day + Swedish Food Night] This morning, I joined the IKEA trip with some exchange students. 
- this IKEA is very big!
- Pizza and ice cream in IKEA :P
There's a welcoming meeting in the Uppsala University Main Building. The speaker shared with us some good-to-know reminders. For example, if you don't have lights on your bike, you'll be fined (SEK 800 for missing both front and back lights).

Later on, there's an international freshman reception by all of the student nations. having a lot of counters, a lot of freshmen, it sounds like an information day. I made fds from Turkey and Korean there. We bought some drinks and had a chat in another place.
Erinc (Turkish) is quite talkative. He shared his travel experience and gave me suggestions on which places to visit. Juhwan (Korean) is very nice too, and he dresses fashionably. 
- Erinc, Me, Juhwan - Erinc's an interesting guy and Juhwan looks like Khalil Fong 方大同 XD
- nice place to sit down and hv a talk
At night, Erinc, Juhwan and I went to a Swedish Food Night in Kalmar Nation. There're so many people. We got to queue again..

28/09/2009 (Friday) [City bus tour + Main Building tour + Dinner in Goteborg Nation] I slept during the bus tour.. so nothing to write down here haha!
The Main Building tour is great! the building is so grand! There're 8 Nobel Prizes from Uppsala University..admirable!! 
- an eye-opening experience.. the main building's very unique and beautiful!
At night, Simon and I had dinner in Goteborg Nation called "KRAFTSKIVA" (Kraft - small lobster; Skiva - dinner). Before the dinner, everyone had to make a hat and wear it during dinner. It's so funny..haha! During dinnner, some people gave speeches (in swedish..don't understand /.\). sometimes we sang and danced on the seats.. people in the nation are very nice and friendly. They explained to me what's going on and the meaning within. 
- apple punch's good! I like it :)
- so much alcohol on the table.. btw, the girls at the right are very nice. They made us know more about tonight dinner.
- The girl sitting next to me. She's so nice too!
- The man in the middle is very friendly to us. He even taught us some basic Swedish :D
29/08/2009 (Saturday) [BBQ + Night Club] Today I went to BBQ arranged by V-Dala Nation with Erinc and his friend. The burgers taste good :P
I made 2 Chinese friends there. They are living in the same place as me! Later I went to a night club with live music..it's a fun night! 
- the band was brilliant! I like the singer, her voice is so good!
30/08/2009 (Sunday) [Chinese gathering] Today I joined a gathering in a Chinese association called Chinese Student and Scholar Association in Uppsala (CSSAU). The speakers told us about the livings in Uppsala. It's very useful. Then I made some Chinese friends there. Afterwards, we went to a supermarket called "Willys". Food there is cheap. however, Willys is quite far away from where I'm living.. /.\ 
- All are Chinese..very good!
- I made my dinner tonight :P
31/08/2009 (Monday) [Dinner@Hotel Uppsala + Soccer match] Tonight I had dinner with the Chinese friends in Hotel Uppsala. Alan and Stephaine are very good at cooking!! When we're cooking, some floormates came and join us..haha! (definitely becoz of the nice smell of cooking) 
- so many people here! Rice and egg...long time no see la ><
Then Simon and I moved to Anders's place to watch a soccer match (Barcelona Vs ?). Anders made pancakes for us, delicious!! His friend, Peter, is a big fan of popcorn..haha! We really had a good time :) 
- Barcelona wins 3:0 ..powerful!!
01/09/2009 (Tuesday) [Welcoming by Chancellor] I met Chancellor of Uppsala University this afternoon. His gave us a short speech.
I met 2 HK people, one of them is from CUHK! Also, I made 2 friends who are from Singapoere. 
- I like his necklace..haha!
- nice to meet Asian people :)
03/09/2009 (Thursday) [Dinner@Stephanie's place] We Chinese friends had dinner again tonight. This time we went to Stephanie's home. As mentioned, Stephanie's very good at cooking. She cooked almost all of the food for us.. Thanks so much!! After dinner, we played games together.. it's very funny haha!!
